Clark L. Bradley: 1953 – 2007

Clark L. Bradley, 54, a resident of Fort Wayne, passed away unexpectedly and was found at his residence on Sunday afternoon, December 30, 2007.

Mr. Bradley was born in Fort Wayne on May 26, 1953, a son of John C. II and Martha E. (Bowers) Bradley. He graduated from Northside High School in 1971, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne.

He was a member of American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

Clark enjoyed his life, and was fiercely independent. He loved being with his family, playing poker, and exercising. All who knew him knew of his great sense of humor. Clark was a blessing in all our lives.

The surviving relatives include his father John C. Bradley II of Cromwell; three brothers John C. Bradley III of Albion, Scott M. (Mary) Bradley and Ross M. Bradley, both of Cromwell; a sister Connie Bradley of Churubusco; three nieces; four nephews; and ten great nieces and nephews.

His mother preceded him in death on July 4, 2000.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Terry Sturges, officiating.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p. m.

Interment will be in the Thorn Cemetery at Ormas.

Gerald L. “Jerry” Ford: 1943 – 2007

Gerald L. “Jerry” Ford, 64, a resident of rural Churubusco, died at 8:05 p. m. on Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He had suffered complications after submitting to heart surgery in November.

Mr. Ford was born on July 8, 1943 in Randolph County near Farmland, a son of Henry Harlon and Helen Louise (Cleek) Ford. As a youth he moved to Fort Wayne, graduated from Central High School in 1960, and later served with the U. S. Army.

He had been employed in the auto parts department for several automobile dealerships in Fort Wayne, and had worked as a parts driver for NAPA Auto Parts in Fort Wayne for the past nine years. In addition, he and his wife worked with Wildlife Rehab and Nature Care for 21 years.

On June 13, 1986 he was married in Columbia City to Linda Schweitzer Boseker. She survives.

The other surviving relatives include two step-children Donald A. Boseker of Columbia City and April (Tim) Miller of Payne, Ohio; his brother Larry D. Ford of Kendallville; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son Chris A. Boseker on July 30, 1988; and by a grandson Dennis Boseker on May 3, 1995.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Father Danney Pinto, pastor of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, officiating.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p. m.

Interment will be in the Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.

The family requests that memorials be directed to masses for Chris A. Boseker; or to the family.
