Dale E. Freeman: 1941 – 2012

Dale E. Freeman, 70,  passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.  Dale was born on October 16, 1941 in Fort Wayne, a son of Fred and Clara B. (Klopfenstein) Freeman.  He spent his formative years in Swan Township north of Huntertown, and graduated from Huntertown High School in 1959.

He was engaged in farming, and was also the owner and operator of CynDeez Transport for over 20 years.  On June 17, 1961 he was married at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church to Arlene Thompson.  She survives.

Also surviving are four children Chris (Jammy Johnson) Freeman of North Augusta, S. C., Stacey (David) Schermerhorn of Wawaka, Polly (Terry Sibert) Stork of Huntertown, and Cyndi (Aaron) McClure of Columbia City; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son Courtney Dale Freeman; a sister Ilene I. Fulk; and a brother Herbert K. Sutton.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a. m. on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Cedar Creek Cemetery, south of Garrett, with Rob McNary, officiating.  At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.

Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements.
