  3. Curtis & Joyce Moore Says:

    Dear Loved Ones,
We will miss seeing Delmar and his radiant smile. He has been such a part of our church family for so long and even though life was not so easy for him…he still sent cards to many and made it to church often.

We are in Florida but, we will be thinking about you. I wish the service could have been in our home church but…I know Delmar will rejoice with us when that day comes (hopefully Dec). We too will return to Indiana for the Holidays, see you then.

    Love your church family,
    Curtis and Joyce Moore

  10. Pastor Alice Smith Says:

I ministered to Del at Bethlehem Woods for some time and Del ministered to me. One would never have known that he had a problem. He even came to worship in a hospital gown with a smile on his face and wanting to know how I was doing. His death saddens me. When I go to Bethlehem Woods I will miss seeing him. He was to me an example of what I needed to be for the sake of the Kingdom. As a family, I hope that you will tell the children stories of Del. The world is different because he lived. Because the love of Christ was in him, he made a difference in your lives and now you make a difference in the lives of others. In that repect he lives on. (Love never dies.) May you remember him with fondness and be comforted by the sure and certain hope of the resurrection when we will all be reunited!
    Pastor Alice Smith

  11. Pastor Will Smith Says:

I am truly grieved by Del’s death. In the many years that I have served as the chaplain at Bethlehem Woods my life and ministry there have been touched repeatedly by his presence. Del never missed worship, and was regularly out in the halls before worship collecting parishoners. He was always the one to ask if I forgot a name, or if I needed to know where some one was or what was going on in their lives. He took the time to know people. He even included me on his Christmas card list. Del’s concern, compassion, faithfulness, and resolved cheerfulness will be sorely missed, and his service to the kingdom of God at Bethlehem Woods will be irreplacable. The Lord be with you all.

  12. Alan & Elaine Fritz Says:

We will miss Del especially on the Thursday lunches at the A.L. Post 82. Del always had a special way of making everyone feel so welcome with his greeting and smile. Sympathy to his family and all that loved him He will always be in our prayers! Alan & Elaine

I’m so sorry to hear about Del. I didn’t know he passed away until today when I was reading thru the Busco Voice. Del was such a pleasure to take care of. I still remember him walking slowly thru the house saying,”I’m running”. My sympathies to you and the rest of your family. Your dad was a great guy. Take care- Tracy Geiger
