We are so thankful to have had a chance to know a man like Uncle Gerald. Through the years he was a stable force for our family. After reading the book about his service in the war and talking it over with him, we knew he was an unsung hero in many more ways than we had ever thought. He blessed us many times with humor, stories and the twinkle in his eye. We thank God for sending him into our Aunt’s life and allowing us to know him. He had a hope in Jesus and we have a comfort in knowing that he is with the Lord today.
