Linda L. Clark: 1946 – 2008

clark-linda-l-obit-photo.jpgLinda L. Clark, 61, a resident of rural Churubusco in Allen County, died at 2:28 a. m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She had been ill since September, but her death was unexpected.

Mrs. Clark was born in Fort Wayne on September 3, 1946, a daughter of Robert W. and Helen F. (Sakowicz) Warner. She spent her formative years there, and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1964.

As a young woman she served with the U. S. Army Reserves, and was married on November 27, 1987 to Charles “Chuck” Clark.

Employed as a expediator at Tec Hackett, Inc. for 27 years, she had most recently been employed at Lincoln Financial Services. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco.

The surviving relatives include her husband Chuck; a brother and sister-in-law Larry and Karen Warner of New Haven; and her nieces and nephews Kayla Warner, Sara (Brian Lee) Clark, Jason (Abby) Warner, and Jeff Clark; and a special friend Cheryl Miser. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Saturday, May 3, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco with Father Danney Pinto, the celebrant.

The family will receive friends at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Friday from 2-4 and from 6-8 p. m. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p. m. Friday at the mortuary.

Interment will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.

    My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Linda. As her first cousin I wish I had been able to know her better. Still I have fond memories of her, especially when we were children. My thoughts and prayers are with you folks.
